BIO
Thanks for checking out my webpage!
I was born in Washington, DC and raised in Northern Virginia. I attended George Washington University and George Mason, earning a B.A. in Journalism. These days I call Charleston, SC home and am working on my Masters degree at The Citadel.
I started my career working in Public Relations for private corporations and government agencies before becoming a photojournalist for the Fairfax Journal and the Manassas Journal Messenger. My first national byline was a feature on the working homeless published in Good Housekeeping magazine.

Some of my favorite early gigs included running site PR for the first Lollapalooza Tour in 1991, and interviewing Watergate mastermind G. Gordon Liddy.
After the publication of my first book Encyclopedia of Hell in 1998, I became a full-time freelance writer. My articles and photos have appeared in over 50 publications ranging from Gannett news syndicate to the Chicken Soup for the Soul book franchise. I've also worked on media projects for The History Channel, Sy-Fy, The Learning Channel, ABC News, Paramount Entertainment Group, Media General and many others.
My debut novel BANDUN GATE, is a fact-inspired horror story about murder, hauntings and paranormal battles along Charleston's cursed shores. Bandun Gate is an Amazon Bestseller, a 5 Star Readers' Favorite and won PenCraft Book's top prize in Horror Fiction. Holy City Sinner calls the novel "a modern day Charleston ghost story that will haunt you well after you finish it."
